How to Register

Registration is easy. Simply download and fill out this registration form. 

Then post the registration form to:

Each Ngati Whare requires their own registration form. If you have children under the age of 18 years, you should also fill out separate registration forms for them.

The whakapapa required on the registration form is straightforward. You don't have to give all your whakapapa, just your Ngati Whare side. Preferably you should identify a Ngati Whare grandparent or great-grandparent alive in the earlier part of the twentieth century.

If you are able, you should also name the Ngati Whare person from whom you can claim descent who was included on the list of owners of Te Whaiti block in 1907 or 1913. Go here for more details. Don't worry, though, if you can't find their name, as a number of Ngati Whare were missed off these lists, and sometimes names change or other things happen.
